HERBAL BATHS:

A bath using fresh or dries herbs can be every bit as heavenly as a hot cup of tea. Many people like to brew a

whole pot of hot herbal tea save a cup to sip in the tub. They pour the rest into the tub soak while they sip the

cup of tea they saved.

Others seem to like the dried herbs dropped into the tub. This makes quite the mess. Unless you have a good

strainer for your drain you can run into trouble. You could also use a cheesecloth bag tied to your faucet while

the water is running into the tub. Let it float while you relax in the tub.

HERBAL

Ginger for Arthritis:

Ease the stiff, sore, aching joints caused by arthritis with a soothing cup of ginger tea, while soaking in a tub of

ginger tea. Place three to four tablespoons of ginger root powder into a quart of water. Bring to a boil, then

simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and add the mixture to warm bath water and soak for no longer than 15 minutes.

Relax drinking a cup of herbal ginger tea from your health food store that you brewed.

RESEARCHERS in Denmark found that when ginger was added to the diet of arthritic patients, their aches

and swelling were reduced by 75%.

Avoid These for Effectiveness

To give your homeopathic remedies the best chance of working for you, avoid these common substances that

are known to antidote remedies: coffee, camphor, eucalyptus, tea tree oil (Melaluca products), menthol, and

mint.

Interactions:

Combing herbs with certain drugs may alter their action or produce unwanted side effects. Tell your health care

practitioner immediately about any prescription or nonprescription drugs you're taking.
