RECIPE
Here is a hearty soup for the cold times.
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 cup chopped cerley
½ cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onions
½ cup chopped mushrooms
½ cup barley, noodles, or rice
1 can or fresh tomatoes
1 cup meat or chicken chopped
Suggested seasoning garlic, bay leaf, thyme, salt & pepper
To get the flavor of hearty soup one should start with chopping all that is going into the soup and set aside.
In large stockpot add olive oil , sauté onions, celery, carrots, add your meat, or chicken. You only need to
brown the Meat to get your flavor.
Should you choose to cook on the stove you will need to add your noodles, barley, or rice the last hour when
using your crockpot add your noodles, barley, or rice right away.
Add about 1 gallon of water along with your entire special seasons that you like bring to a boil reduce to a
simmer for aprox. 3 hours or transfer into you're crock-pot and let simmer for 3 hours.
