Menopause and Phytoestrogens By Susun S. Reed HERBAL Remedy FACTS & TIPS HEALTH SITES RECIPE Thought of the day
Menopause is a time of power for women, a journey, a time of momentous change when a woman crosses the
threshold into becoming the wise woman or crone. Women may be seen as difficult: "She's going through her
Changes..." and are often confused themselves at the obvious physical and emotional transformation they
endure. However, instead of fighting and blocking the powerful experience, as conventional science has often
advocated, a woman can "ride out the storm", armed with the knowledge that as with most powerful struggles,
it can be difficult, and frightening, but joy and wisdom can be found at the end of the journey.Susun S. Weed
helps women understand more about Menopause and Phytoestrogens.
There are many types of estrogens. Women make estrogens. Plants make estrogens and estrogen-like
compounds. Chemicals, especially organochlorines, act like estrogens. (xenoestrogens) Pharmaceutical
companies make estrogens from substances such as horse urine, wild yam roots, and petrochemicals.
Tamoxifen, used to treat and prevent breast cancer, is a type of pharmaceutical estrogen.

FACTS & TIPS
Many people are careful to use disinfecting sprays on doorknobs, telephones and other areas if someone in the
household is ill. These chemical sprays will kill germs, but at a price to those who come in contact with the
chemical fumes. For a natural, effective alternative, blend 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil, one-half teaspoon
juniper essential oil and one-half tablespoon bergamot essential oil. Add this blend to pure water in a pump
spray bottle. You can also add this blend to your laundry when washing your ill loved one's towels, clothes and
bedding until they are fully recovered.
